Hello Tri-M Chapter Members and Advisers,
KMEA is just around the corner and want to remind you to get your students registered for the Tri-M Mini-Convention before the Registration Deadline of February 19th, 2019.
Tri-M Attendance at ISW:
Students attending Tri-M Mini-Convention may attend any KMEA ISW events on any day of the ISW (outside of the Tri-M sessions on Friday). If you plan to bring students on Thursday, please contact Alex McMahon or Shelly Cole to make arrangements to pick up student badges. (Tri-M@ksmea.org)
Important info:
Chapter Advisors who are music teachers in their district must have a paid professional registration for the KMEA In-Service Workshop in order to send students to the Tri-M Mini-Convention. Administrators, group chaperones and student registration is free.

- 7:30AM- Registration
- 8:00AM- Introductions, Icebreakers and the Tri-M Loyalty Song
- 8:30AM- Careers in Music
- 9:15AM- Essential Somatics for Singers and Instrumentalists
- 10:00AM- A Visit from CNAFME
- 10:30AM- Tri-M’s Got Talent Showcase/Wrap-up
- 11:00AM- Chapters are released to attend ISW Sessions and Concerts
Thinking Ahead to Kansas (and National) Chapter of the Year Scholarship Award:
We would love to know your school year is going! Please consider submitting your national ‘Chapter Summary’ form (found on the MusicHonors.com website) to tri-M@ksmea.org in addition to tri-M@nafme.org. Schools that submit a ‘Chapter Summary’ form will be eligible to compete for Kansas and National Chapter of the Year. Additional items such as photos and videos may also be submitted for consideration. Entries are due by May 3rd, 2019 and winners will be contacted during the summer and be recognized in a summer edition of the Kansas Music Review.

Send us a short description and pictures of your events and we will compile them into a future article in the Kansas Music Review.
